Mohammed Salisu, jugador del Real Valladolid, se ha convertido en el central revelación de la Liga tras asentarse en el equipo de Sergio González.
Un chico de Ghana
Salisu nació en la ciudad de Accra en el año 1999. Sería en el país africano donde también iniciaría sus primeros pasos en el mundo del fútbol.
En la África Talent Football Academy de Ghana inició su formación. El español Fran Castaño director de la academia fue el gran descubridor del central africano.

Su llegada al Real Valladolid
En el año 2017, puso rumbo a España y el equipo elegido fue el Valladolid. El joven central fue ofrecido a otros equipos de La Liga entre ellos el Leganés, Mallorca y el Girona. Pero fue el conjunto blanquivioleta el que mayor interés y confianza presentó en Salisu. Para ello fue clave Víctor Fernández, según comenta Fran Castaño.

Una vez en el Valladolid, se inició en el juvenil, donde visto el rendimiento ofrecido, pronto paso a formar parte del equipo promesas para seguir con su evolución.
En el año 2018 disputó 26 partidos, 13 de ellos como titular en Segunda B. Este mismo año consiguió su debut con el primer equipo en los octavos de final de la Copa del Rey contra el Getafe. Partido que el Valladolid terminaría perdiendo por 1-0.
Su gran oportunidad de disputar un partido de liga llegaría esta temporada, después de que Calero abandonara el Valladolid para poner rumbo al Espanyol.
Las dudas que se tenían en un principio por su falta de experiencia, desaparecieron tras su primer partido contra el Betis. Sus buenas actuaciones durante esta temporada han respondido a la perfección a la confianza ofrecida por parte de Sergio González.
A su corta edad, ha conseguido convertirse en un jugador clave en el Valladolid y junto a Kiko Olivas, han establecido una defensa férrea en el equipo pucelano.
Hasta el momento no ha tenido la oportunidad de debutar con la selección nacional. Pero, viendo el gran rendimiento del jugador, desde la federación de Ghana esperan próximamente contar con Salisu en sus filas.
¿Cómo juega Salisu?
Analizando a Salisu, nos encontramos a un jugador que transmite una gran seguridad en la defensa. El central zurdo aporta calidad en al corte, donde consigue frenar el ataque de los rivales.
Entre sus cualidades, destaca su gran presencia física. Es un jugador con una gran corpulencia, con una altura de 1’91, que le ayuda a potenciar su juego aéreo, tanto en la parcela defensiva como ofensiva.
Salisu conoce bien sus puntos a favor. No se esconde al buscar el cuerpo a cuerpo con los atacantes, ya que cuenta con una gran ventaja para ganar los duelos.
Otras de sus cualidades es la velocidad. Es muy difícil que los delanteros puedan ganarle la espalda, y debido a ello se ve beneficiado a la hora de jugar a campo abierto, ya que no tiene problemas para volver hacia atrás.
Con apenas 21 años, cuenta con un amplio margen de mejora, y su gran temporada con el Valladolid, ha despertado el interés de grandes equipos tanto de La Liga como de la Premier League.
