La SD Huesca, a base de humildad y numerosas cesiones, se ha convertido en el »mandamás» de la región, siendo a día de hoy el único representante de la misma en la máxima categoría del fútbol español. El Real Zaragoza, un histórico de nuestro país, vive actualmente a la sombra de este »pequeño gigante’‘ del Alto Aragón.
La SD Huesca no rebla
Parecía impensable años atrás. Sin embargo, en pleno año 2020, el Huesca cumplirá su segunda temporada en Primera División. Tras pasarse toda su vida en 2B y Tercera, el equipo aragonés consiguió su segundo ascenso a la categoría de plata de nuestro fútbol en la temporada 14/15. Tan solo tres temporadas más tarde, conseguía subir de nuevo, alcanzando por primera vez en su historia la máxima competición nacional.
Una población de apenas 200.000 habitantes. Un estadio de menos de 8000 personas. La absoluta modestia codeándose con los transatlánticos de nuestro país. Un sueño del que ningún oscense se quería despertar, un golpe encima de la mesa de uno de los »otros», y a su vez, un aviso a conjuntos como el Real Zaragoza. La SD Huesca llegaba para quedarse.

Un descenso a segunda un tanto esperado
Esa ilusión que trajo consigo el ascenso a primera división se fue desvaneciendo un poco antes de comenzar la temporada 2018/2019. El gran artífice de la gloriosa gesta, Joan Francesc Ferrer »Rubi» ponía rumbo al RCD Espanyol, dejando un vacío en el banquillo que no se pudo llenar. El encargado de sustituirlo fue Leo Franco, un técnico sin experiencia que, como era de esperar, no supo »exprimir» al máximo a ninguno de sus jugadores. A su vez, los fichajes no parecían los adecuados; jugadores sin apenas bagaje en Primera División, como Juanpi, Longo o Christian Rivera aterrizaban en El Alcoraz.
La segunda vuelta del conjunto oscense, ya con Francisco Rodríguez a los mandos, fue bastante buena. Sin embargo, los malos resultados cosechados anteriormente, hicieron imposible evitar el descenso a segunda. La temporada se cerró en casa, en un partido agónico en el que el Huesca cayó 2-6 ante el Valencia. La afición local, en una lección de fidelidad, vitoreó al equipo tras el pitido final pese al duro golpe, al grito de »volveremos otra vez». Estaban en lo cierto, la SD Huesca volvería, y más fuerte que nunca.
La filosofía de los cedidos de la SD Huesca
Todos sabemos que los clubes más humildes suelen tener complicado el tema de los fichajes. Es por esto que muchos optan por solicitar cesiones de jugadores jóvenes a equipos de mayor categoría, con un mayor o menor éxito. El Huesca es uno de los conjuntos que más ha utilizado esta fórmula, sobre todo en la temporada 19/20, en la que consiguió ser campeón de La Liga Smartbank y ascender a Primera División.
Aunque se habían hecho muchas cosas bien, el conjunto alto-aragonés había descendido la campaña anterior, por lo que había aspectos a mejorar. La secretaría técnica se puso manos a la obra, comenzando por la contratación de un nuevo técnico: Míchel Sánchez. Un entrenador que propone un fútbol de toque y muy alegre, y que ya contaba con un ascenso en su haber con el Rayo Vallecano.

Una mezcla de juventud y jerarquía
Tras anunciar al nuevo »míster», comenzaron los primeros movimientos de mercado. A las bajas de pesos pesados como Gonzalo Melero, se sumaban incorporaciones muy sonadas como la de Mikel Rico o Shinji Okazaki, jugadores que sin duda aportarían mucho al equipo. Además, comenzaron las mencionadas cesiones, como las de Cristo González (Real Madrid), Sergi Gómez (B.Dortmund) o Rafa Mir (Wolves). Jóvenes talentos que dotaban al equipo de aire fresco. Esa frescura, acompañada de la experiencia de los más veteranos, han convertido a la SD Huesca en auténtico equipazo.
El reto de mantenerse en La Liga
La escuadra aragonesa encara ahora la nueva temporada en La Liga Santander con la máxima de las ilusiones. Con la misma columna vertebral del curso pasado, fortalecida con nuevos refuerzos que alternan la juventud con la madurez, el Huesca intentará conseguir la permanencia en una temporada atípica en la que, seguramente, no puedan contar con su factor clave: su afición. Esa afición que no rebla, que está en las buenas, pero que sobre todo, estuvo en las malas. El nuevo rey de Aragón ya está aquí, y esta vez, para quedarse.
