Entre 2004 y 2006 certificó dos ligas regulares de la división de plata de la Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala, pero con la mala fortuna de caer eliminados en los play-offs de ascenso. Por otro lado, Rafa Usín no llegó a finalizar la campaña con Mifesa Timón debido a un previo acuerdo con la directiva del club. Osasuna Magna cerró su incorporación para la segunda vuelta de la liga regular de Primera División.

Desde su llegada a Navarra, el jugador madrileño ilusionaba cada temporada a la afición de Irurtzun. Compartió vestuario con grandes leyendas del conjunto de Pamplona como Javier Eseverri, Carlitos, Daniel Saldise, entre otros muchos. A nivel colectivo, el ala-pÍvot madrileño alcanzó una oportunidad de oro en 2010: Derrotar a ElPozo Murcia Turística en la final del play-off por el título y sellar el primer billete a Europa del club navarro.
Desafortunadamente, la gesta quedó reducida a un simple sueño al caer en el quinto y definitivo partido. No obstante, el trabajo y sacrificio constante se ganó el respeto y la confianza de la afición en el jugador de Madrid. A consecuencia de ello, el F.C.Barcelona se hace con los servicios del deportista para la temporada 14/15. Pero la falta de minutos y las prioridades de Marc Carmona derivó en un retorno anhelado a Osasuna Magna hasta 2020. Actualmente forma parte de la plantilla de Levante en la campaña 2020/ 2021.

A nivel internacional, supera el centenario de partidos con la selección española con la disputa del último partido de la ronda principal de clasificación para la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2020. Rafa Usín conquistó también dos europeos en 2012 y 2016 y un torneo Grand Prix en 2010.
