Fran García está disputando su primera temporada completa en el fútbol profesional y es una de las principales armas que tiene el Rayo Vallecano para ganar los Play Off y ascender a La Liga Santander. El canterano del Real Madrid es uno de los mejores laterales de toda La Liga Smartbank y no va a querer dejar pasar la oportunidad de mostrarse al fútbol español como una de las mejores opciones del futuro en su posición.

 

Un jugador destinado a la élite

Llegó en el 2013 para jugar en el Cadete B, y por cosas del destino, coincidió con Santiago Solari, entrenador que le marcaría en su carrera. El que fuera jugador y entrenador del Real Madrid le hizo debutar con el no Juvenil A, tras hacer una buena temporada en el Juvenil C, con el Castilla, e incluso con la primera plantilla del Real Madrid en un partido de Copa del Rey.

En el Juvenil A en el que estuvo dos temporadas antes de subir de forma definitiva al Castilla en la 18/19. En la primera de ellas fue dirigido por Guti, y conquistó el triplete juvenil: Liga, Copa del Rey Juvenil y Copa de Campeones Juvenil como titular. Para este curso la Segunda B se le quedaba pequeña y firmó por el Rayo Vallecano en forma de cesión con opción a compra.

Fran García está realizando una gran temporada, destacando sobre todo al comienzo y al final, donde se está encontrando con ese punto extra físico y de inspiración. Junto a Álvaro García, es el principal elemento de desequilibrio del Rayo de Andoni Iraola.

El argentino y capitán Óscar Trejo, que le ha ayudado mucho con su adaptación desde el primer día, comentó en Onda Madrid lo impresionado que estaba con el canterano del Real Madrid:

«Es un fuera de serie. Por suerte tenemos la suerte de disfrutarlo. Además de la clase de jugador que es, lo humilde y buena persona que es. Ante el Logroñés tuvimos la buena noticia de su vuelta. Había dudas de cómo estaba. Ha demostrado que es diferente.»

 

 

Fran García, la promesa que eligió Vallecas

Tuvo muchas ofertas, entre ellas sonó Osasuna, pero el jugador explicó en Unión Rayo por qué decidió irse a Vallecas:

«Hablé con Cobeño y la propuesta que me hizo me gustó mucho. No sólo por el proyecto, sino porque yo llevo viviendo en Madrid desde los 13-14 años, tengo mi vida hecha aquí y el Rayo me permitía seguir compatibilizándola. Esa fue una de las razones. La situación que había en ese momento era compleja, como lo es ahora y no podía esperar mucho tiempo en el mercado, ya que llevaba parado desde febrero y cuanto más tardase, peor.»

En Copa del rey marcó ante el Barcelona jugando de extremo, su posición de formación, y con su buena campaña sus opciones de volver al club blanco aumentaron, aunque tras la explosión de Miguel Gutiérrez, un perfil de lateral muy distinto al suyo, parece muy complicado su retorno a día de hoy.

El propio jugador ya ha reconocido que el Rayo me ha dado mucho y va a ser un club siempre importante para él. Solo piensa en ascender y que en caso de conseguirlo, se llegue a un acuerdo que beneficie a todas las partes: Real Madrid, Rayo y sobre todo a él. La opción de compra según Cadena Ser es de 2 millones de euros.

Su gran nivel a pesar de su juventud le ha permitido debutar con la selección española sub 21, aunque con la competencia de Pedrosa, Miranda o incluso Cucurella, no se ha asentado aún en el carril izquierdo de la «rojita».

 

¿Cómo juega Fran García?

Fran García es un lateral potente, rápido como un rayo, explosivo, con una capacidad física para ir y venir por encima de la media, y sobre todo, para llegar desde atrás. En ese sentido recuerda a otro lateral que ya pasó por el Real Madrid y a día de hoy está triunfando en Milán, Theo Hernández.

Su buen golpeo le ha permitido marcar uno de los goles de la temporada de La Liga Smartbank, en concreto en la jornada 41 ante el Castellón, aunque también ha repartido 2 asistencias y genera 0,8 pases clave por partido. Tiene que mejorar en su finura en los últimos metros, pero por condiciones tiene madera para ser un referente en su posición en el fútbol español. Es completo en defensa y en ataque, gana duelos en defensa y aunque en su juego aéreo y acierto en el pase queda un poco a deber, genera ventajas en velocidad completando casi un regate por partido.

Se muestra como un jugador competitivo y ambicioso. Tiene ganas de disputar un partido difícil en el que se juegue la temporada y qué mejor forma que en los Play Off. Sabe que él y sus compañeros están preparados y pueden lograr el objetivo. Su mentalidad es ir partido a partido y no adelantarse a los acontecimientos.

Su futuro depende de lo que pase en estas eliminatorias de ascenso, pero lo que parece claro es que la temporada que viene jugará en La Liga Santander y seguirá siendo candidato para ir con la selección sub21.
