Todos ellos coincidieron, firmando así la primera página de las memorias de El Halcón. Un prólogo en el que todavía se pueden hallar restos de gravilla. Esa que tantas veces les había hecho sangrar en aquellos partidillos con un cuero pelado y en el que las rodilleras de tu chándal son las grandes damnificadas.
Pese a mantenerse su apelativo original (cuyo significado aún se desconoce), hay algo que el tiempo, o simplemente el marketing, han modificado: sus colores. El azul y el blanco, los cuales homenajeaban a la bandera de la nación, dejaron paso al verde y al amarillo recién iniciados los 80 por motivos comerciales y económicos.

Defensa y Justicia, inmerso desde la primavera del 35 en una especie de modo carrera del FIFA integrado por partidos y torneos comarcales de los que siempre salía vencedor, optó por afiliarse a la AFA en el 1977 . »Basta de boludeces» gritaría alguno de los promotores de la idea, segundos antes de agarrar enojado el mando de la »consola» y pulsar la X para zambullirse en un nuevo modo de juego: »Conviértete en profesional».
Un curso más tarde, y con la prisa del que tiene la impresión de haber estado perdiendo el tiempo, Defensa y Justicia ya contaba con un hermoso feudo y con todos los permisos requeridos para ingresar en el Torneo de Primera D. En su debut, delicioso como alfajor relleno de dulce de leche, El Halcón superó a Cañuelas por 2 a 1, adjudicándose así los primeros tres puntos de su historia.

»Paciencia y silencio, virtud de los grandes». Expuesta por el escritor Paulo Neo hace un tiempo, esta frase sería un apropiadísimo eslogan para sus compatriotas de Defensa y Justicia. Si bien es cierto que los bonaerenses no tardaron demasiado en trepar la cuerda futbolística de su país, con dos ascensos en apenas diez años, sus éxitos recientes tienen como fórmula secreta esta infravalorada virtud: la paciencia.
En el 1997, Defe anotaría en su currículo uno de sus más prestigiosos trabajos hasta la fecha, cuando se despidió de la Primera B (Tercera División) y promocionó por fin a Primera Nacional. Como obsequio, los de Florencio Varela fueron invitados a dar la vuelta olímpica en el Nuevo Estadio Centenario de Quilmes.
Domiciliados en la División de Plata durante décadas, los de la Avenida Humahuaca cruzaron las puertas del edén balompédico 7 años atrás. Ese árbol de la paciencia que habían plantado, aparentemente marchito, vio como una apetitosa manzana brotaba por primera vez de sus ramas en el 2014. Contradiciendo a la Biblia, esta fruta no estaba prohibida, y aquel que la mordiera no sería expulsado del elíseo, sino que tendría acceso a este. El paraíso era la Primera División Argentina, y esta historieta no tenía como protagonistas a Adán y Eva, sino a Diego Cocca y Juan Martín Lucero, míster y máximo pelotero de Defensa y Justicia en aquella celestial campaña.

Su andadura en el torneo fue efímera, y tras ser apeados por el Santos, tuvieron que conformarse con competir en la Copa Sudamericana, la »Europa League» de Latinoamérica, en la que fueron superando rondas hasta llegar a la gran final, en la que se medirían a Lanús. Finalmente, tras dar un »clinic» en defensa y acciones combinativas, el fútbol impartió justicia y El Halcón izó el trofeo a un cielo donde el Sol de Mayo que inauguró este artículo teñía de verde algunos de sus rayos para sumarse al festejo.
Hace unos días, Crespo y Defe separaban sus caminos. El destino del técnico parece estar en Brasil, donde dirigirá al Sao Paulo.
